Jean Claude Salomon (1928)

Born in December 4th, 1928 in Paris. XXth century. French.

Painter of bare, still life, flowers, aquarellist, pastellist, designer. Expressionist.

Jean Claude Salomon was pupil of Jean Souverbie at the school of the Fine arts of Paris. He participates in several collective exhibitions, like, in Paris, Salon des Independents, of Autumn, Comparisons, de la peinture a L’Eau, de la Société Nationale des Beaux-arts, et au Salon de Mantes-la Jolie , from which he is member, and also  various groups: in 1972 in Rohan, 1986 has Grenoble, 1987 in Romans (Isère), galleries in Paris, Mulhouse, Saint-Marcellin, Strasbourg, Miami, Papeete. He introduces a collection of his works in  personal exhibitions, among which: 1959, 1967, Paris, gallery Vidal; 1971 Paris, gallery Capucines ; 1980 Paris, gallery Armine; 1982-1987 Fresneau-Mont chevreuil(Oise); 1983 Theatre of Beauvais; Strasbourg, gallery Aktuarius; 1985 Paris, gallery of Sèvres; Rochelle, gallery Lhote; 1987 castle of Gisors; 1989 Paris, gallery Sculptures. In 1971 he was chosen for the price of Criticism.

By a subtle progression, true petition of principles, which includes the end in means, Jean Claude Salomon creates an allusive pictorial writing, a fluid transparent material, a billposter, to reserve all possible consistency the work has the opposition of light and shade the role of which its turn has is to return light the most fluid possible, being light, that is bare or of objects of still life, the alone true subject of its painting. Valérie Salomon in writings: « Objects, as objects, have no more importance; they are only a pretext on the true subject of the cloth which is the expression of emotion that their presence can provoke in us. »
